Gendarmería anunció que el 2015 personal del Centro de Detención Preventiva de Los Andes logró incautar un total de 1,2 gramos de cocaína, mientras que durante el primer trimestre del 2016 esta cifra ya se eleva a 16,17 gramos, significando un aumento de 1347,5 % con respecto al pasado año. Estas cifras fueron entregadas por el jefe de la unidad andina, teniente coronel Cristian Farías, durante este jueves en dependencias del establecimiento penitenciario.
El alcaide del CCP detalló que además de cocaína en los constantes allanamientos a la población penal se ha obtenido una significativa cantidad de pasta base y marihuana, pudiendo proyectar que se sobrepasará lo obtenido el 2015.
“Esta es una ciudad que está fijada en la frontera, por lo que se va a intentar ingresar más droga que a otros recintos penitenciarios, sin embargo, se ha incautado y se ha denunciado al ministerio público. Las principales drogas son marihuana, pasta base y clorhidrato de cocaína”.
El teniente coronel explicó que la cantidad de droga incautada ha aumentado debido a que: “constantemente estamos haciendo acá los registro de allanamiento por parte de nuestro personal que labora en la guardia interna o la sección femenina. Hay un enorme esfuerzo de nuestro personal para poder incautar estos elementos ilícitos”, expresó el comandante Farías.
Además de droga, en los operativos de registro y allanamientos llevados delante por los funcionarios se han obtenido teléfonos celulares, cargadores, armas blancas de confección artesanal, entre otros implementos prohibidos.
Durante el primer semestre se requisaron 323 dispositivos móviles, en comparación a los 570 del año pasado; mientras que ya se totalizan 35 armas blancas versus las 67 del 2015.
Todos estos implementos son ingresados a las unidades penitenciarias de diversas maneras, siendo las más usuales el lanzamiento de objetos hacia el interior del recinto y su ocultamiento en las partes íntimas de las personas que asisten diariamente a visitar a la población penal o en las encomiendas que ingresan las mismas.
