Positivos fueron los resultados de los muestreos realizados por la Oficina Provincial de la Seremi de Salud a las agua que trae el Río Rocín, tras las denuncias de vecinos que de Putaendo luego de conocer un estudio privado que indicaba que el agua del mencionado afluente continua altas cifras de metales producto de las faenas minerías al interior de la Cordillera.
Recordemos que la mesa de trabajo, encabezada por la Gobernación, estableció como acuerdo que la oficina de la seremi de salud en Aconcagua estableciera vigilancia de las plantas de tratamiento de agua potable que reciben el vital elemento desde el mencionado río y que son las plantas urbanas de Esval, que abastece alrededor de 10 mil personas, como también la planta rural del sector de Los Guzmanes.
“Estos resultados arrojan que el agua que se consume, tanto en la zona urbana de Putaendo como en el sector rural de Los Guzmanes, se encuentran dentro de la norma. Es decir, es agua que se puede consumir sin problemas y que está dentro de los protocolos establecidos, por lo que la comunidad debe tener la tranquilidad de que estas plantas de tratamiento tienen la capacidad de abatir una serie de elementos que hacen que el agua sea normal y que, por otro lado, el agua que se captura, está dentro de los parámetros de normalidad” sostuvo Mario Méndez.
En tanto, el Gobernador Eduardo León sostuvo que a raíz de lo planteado por el Alcalde Guillermo Reyes, el concejo municipal y la comunidad de Putaendo se iniciaron varias reuniones de trabajo intersectorial con diversos servicios públicos para analizar la situación y aclaró que continuarán con los trabajos de monitoreo en el río. “Queremos darle tranquilidad a las personas de que el agua potable no tiene ningún problema, según lo que nos ha señalado hoy la autoridad sanitaria. Sin embargo, continuaremos con un monitoreo más amplio para que cada organismo, con sus propias facultades, hacer un estudio completo de la cuenca y explicar esta alteración que ocurrió aguas arriba del Embalse Chacrillas y buscar explicación del origen de ésta” afirmó la máxima autoridad provincial.
Cuidado con las aguas de Putaendo porque la comunidad está mirando el comportamiento de sus autoridades, partiendo por su alcalde Guillermo Reyes que tiene doble discurso.
