Este es el segundo año consecutivo que la comuna de San Felipe se adjudica la ejecución de este programa de esterilizaciones, luego de una muy buena evaluación a nivel nacional de la iniciativa, completando también mil esterilizaciones que se extendieron por todo el año 2015 y que benefició a perros y gatos, con y sin dueño de distintos sectores de la comuna de San Felipe, lo que significó una inversión de 21 millones de pesos.
En esta oportunidad la inversión asciende a 23 millones de pesos y son recursos que vienen a apoyar a las familias de San Felipe, para que puedan esterilizar a sus mascotas, así como también a animales de la calle, los que quedarán con un chip que permitirá identificarlos y saber que fueron intervenidos.
“Esto es una promesa cumplida de la presidenta y habla del trabajo del Gobernador, en conjunto con organizaciones animalistas y del Alcalde Patricio Freire, con su concejo municipal, preocupado de este y otros temas. Sin el apoyo del Alcalde Patricio Freire no podríamos llevarlo a cabo y este es un programa que no es solo consultas, hay participación efectiva y un control de las organizaciones animalistas permanentes en este tema y eso es fundamental”, dijo Eduardo Pastén.
El Alcalde Patricio Freire valoró que la comuna de San Felipe fuera nuevamente elegida para la ejecución de esta importante iniciativa, lo que da cuenta, a su juicio del buen trabajo realizado el año pasado por los profesionales a cargo de las esterilizaciones.
“Agradecer a la Subdere el apoyo que hemos tenido del gobierno central postulando a este programa de tenencia responsable de mascotas y de esterilizaciones, que permite contar con los recursos para realizar estas operaciones. Hoy día los animalistas de la comuna de San Felipe están contentos de lo que estamos realizando, porque es en beneficio de las mascotas, con y sin dueño”, dijo el Alcalde Patricio Freire.
El jefe comunal además recordó que el municipio se encuentra ad portas de abrir la clínica veterinaria para la atención de las mascotas de San Felipe, la que estará ubicada en calle Ducó s/n.
En tanto el Gobernador León destacó la ejecución del programa de tenencia responsable de mascotas en San Felipe, una iniciativa innovadora y que se ejecuta luego de escuchar esta petición por mucho tiempo planteada por la ciudadanía.
